Blow-Out!

So, I was feeding Tegan this morning and he pooped... nothing new. Then, as I went to burp him 1/2 way through the bottle my hand felt really wet. I turned him over and...
this is what I saw:

This is what was inside:

I did have a pic of the contents of the diaper on here, but have had several requests to have it removed... I guess it was pretty gross :)
Tegan thought his accomplishment was hilarious, but our shutter is too slow to truly catch his smiles right now.

On the bright side he's napping nicely right now so I get some down time where I should be napping too. On that note... I'll add more later :)

Love to all!

7 Hours!

Well, he did it again! Tegan ate right around 10pm last night and I woke up to his fussing at 5:30am!!! Yes, that's a bout 7.5 hours! I slept SO great! WOW!

This morning Brendan and I took Tegan out for his first ride in his/my jogger stroller. He seemed to like it, though he'd fuss when he spit out his pacifier. The jogger rides really smoothly and the canopy/sunshade is WONDERFUL! Unless the sun is really low (so early morning or late afternoon/evening) the sun will never be in T's eyes! Well, he's fussin and getting close to eating time...
Love to all!

LONG Day!

Well, Tegan decided that he didn't want to take any naps today and instead just be crabby and fussy... all day (note: the above picture is from last week, not today). After dinner Brendan offered to take T for a while to see if he could work some calming magic and I remembered that often times babies will settle down when they are stripped down to the diaper and held up against a shirtless parent/body. SO, I stripped T down to the diaper and gave him back to a shirtless Brendan and *PRESTO* problem solved and now he's cooing and 'talking' and seemingly content as can be. (Oh, and I also gave him some baby gas medicine, so that might have helped a bit too).
Well, this shirtless male combo was like having a Chip-N-Dale duo (haha) in my living room so I had to become paparazzi and take some pics (too many Brendan thinks, but I say that's not possible until it makes T cry). The weekend in Rochester went relatively well. T remained pretty good (only 1 really fussy night I think) and he got to meet his Aunt Becca! SO, now he's met his entire immediate family and all stil love him after seeing him (like we were worried!). OH, and T went from 10pm Friday to 5am Saturday w/o waking for a feeding! YES, 7 hours! He went 6 hours Saturday night to Sunday morning, too... but of course we were back to 4 hours Sunday night. We'll keep working the schedule and he should be sleeping the 6-7 hours more consistently soon. Pray!
Well, that's bout it...

Love to all!!!

Time Flies!

Well, I can't believe that Tegan is nearly 6 weeks old and that my maternity leave is nearly half over, too! WOW! We had the Eastwood side of the family over for dinner yesterday and that was great fun, though Tegan made sure to be a little fussy so that everyone got a turn to take him for a walk around the house (which calms him right down).
This afternoon T will be taking his first "road trip" though it's only 1 1/2 hours to go visit the Moore side of the family (some of it at least). He will finally get to meet his Aunt Becca, too, which we are all excited about! I'll be sure to post pictures from that.
By-the-way... Tegan LOVES his changing table mobile! Thank you Grandma Moore! :)
Well, all for now. No real updates... he's still getting up once a night, so that's great. Hopefully within the next few weeks the time between his 10pm feeding and his next one will get longer and longer (we're at about 4-5 hours now).
Love to all!!!

We've got a hockey fan...

So, what does a 28 year old dad and his 1 month old son look like when they watch hockey?
They look like this:

Then there's those infamous calves of Brendan's...
You know, these ones:
Well... I think they've been inherited.

Cheers!

Big Yawn!!

Quick Update:

Weighed Tegan the other day (yes, we used Daddy's fish scale!).

Also, only got up once last night! WHOO-HOO!!! How awesome! No new pics... I'm always busy when his eyes are open or the camera is too far away. I gotta work on that! Love to all!!!
