Mas Photos de Hoy

(: Love his smile! :)

Exploring the many capabilities of his mouth

My Little Man

Discoveries!

Well, Tegan has officially discovered toys and really enjoys playing with them more and more each day. This little guy was a gift from a close family friend and he got very attached to it this morning. It also plays music and whenever the music would stop T would get all frustrated. Too cute!

Tegan is also becoming VERY oral, i.e. putting everything in his mouth! Not only his toys but also with his burp rag(s) that he now holds while he's eating, his fists, thumb, my thumb/fingers, ANYONE'S thumb/fingers, and of course his paci/nuk/plug.
Notice what part is sticking up... the feet of the toy. We need to work on him not sucking on the crotch. HA!

I'm trying to get a better picture of him doing it, but Tegan has really been exploring what his tongue and mouth can do these past few days. Sticking out his tongue, sucking on his top lip, blowing spit everywhere, and as before lots and lots of bubbles. The above pic is the best one I've gotten so far, but he's really gettin' good at suckin in his top lip and making his bottom one stick out like crazy. It's really too cute! :)

Well, that's all I've got for now. School's out, though, so I'll do my best to update more often. Love to all!!

Rolling Over... So I'm Told

Well, Tegan has now rolled over twice that I know of and none of these times have been in front of his mommy :( I'm SOOOO upset over this! He was SUPER close to rolling over after I got home this evening and then he stopped trying and just flopped down and started screaming and was through with tummy-time for a while. DANG IT!
The above photo is from the race on Mother's Day up near Detroit Lakes, MN where Daddy did AWESOME and the weather was PERFECT! Tegan was SO happy that weekend and we got SO many great smiley pictures. Daddy calls me the paparazi, but I call it recording memories. Not a whole lot else to say about my 1st Mother's Day, oh except that there are NO pics of T and I from that special day... I guess we'll have to make the 2nd Mom's day extra special, right? :)
Tegan's 3rd weekend bike race was this past weekend and he slept through the whole thing. That's 2 out of 3 that he's slept through now. Probably for the better this time, though. It was pretty darn cold and windy, so I put his new fleece jacket (some fancy-pants brand that I've never heard of but is supposed to be awesome) that was given to him from friends from Thailand, squished his hat on and put the rain/weather shield on the jogger. Once asleep he slept great! I think the shield helped keep him nice and toasty as opposed to cold and shivering like myself :)
Grandma Eastwood took some great pics of T and I last week after she overheard me complaining that there are very few of the 2. Daddy doesn't really like taking pictures...unless they involve something about bikes, so we'll have to work on changing that. This is one of my favorites:

Well, that's all for now. I still don't know where or what I'm teaching next year, so that's driving me NUTS and I am starting to not sleep well, so that's no good either. Thankfully there's only 2 days of school left (with kids) and 4 days for teachers... so summer is right around the corner for me. Feel free to come visit T and I (oh, and Brendan too)! :)

Love to all!

Awake at a Race!

Well, Tegan stayed awake for the first Buck Hill Race of 2007 and he really seemed to like seeing all the sights. After the shock (or something) of the first time the riders went by, Tegan started kicking and squirming like he does when he's excited the next few times they came by. I'd like to think he kicked, squirmed and squealed a little harder when Daddy went by but who knows. :) He even got his first try at a kiddo bike... not sure how much he liked it though. Maybe next year...

The good news, though, is that Brendan won the race. YEAH DADDY! I don't know exactly by how much without looking, but quite a bit.

I took my first sick day since returning to work yesterday. I came home from work on Wednesday and just felt HORRIBLE, so I decided to call in sick/order-up a sub for Thurs and rest up.
Gotta love that lower lip :)
It went relatively well and I even got to spend the day with Tegan as Grandma, a.k.a. daycare provider, went shopping for the day. Despite several very fussy fits I enjoyed being with my baby boy. OH, and I got some good pics, too. :)

SO SWEET!

Well, not really a whole lot else to say except that there are 8 days of school left and they aren't going fast enough! Happy Mother's Day to all my new-mom friends (and to my own mom and mother-in-law) :)

1st Mountain Bike Race & 3 Months Old!

Well, Tegan had the opportunity to go to his first mountain bike race this weekend and wouldn't you know if it started pouring rain within 10 minutes after the race started... so this was what T did for the next 2 hours...

Thankfully, though, Daddy won (Yeah Daddy!) despite ruining some very expensive bike parts. Check out Brendan's blog to see some pics of how messy the race was.

What else? OH, as you can see above, we've got a flirt on our hands and that pic doesn't even do the trait justice! Ladies, watch out! :)

Another recurrance is extreme sleeping. I know babies sleep a lot, but geez... this kid must be getting ready to grow. He also graduated to eating 6oz. at each bottle! I'm trying to stretch the time out between bottles so we don't feel like we are feeding him so often (even though it's nothing compared to eating every 2 hours like he did the first few weeks of life). He is 3 months old now, so it could be a growth spurt. We'll have to weigh him and then I can let you know! I wonder if he's topped the 15 pound mark yet. I sure hope not, but I wouldn't be surprised.

OH, I know, other news is that Tegan has been SUPER smiley and talkative. I never thought I'd be one to get into baby talk and stuff (and I don't much) but it's SO cute to see T's reaction when I repeat whatever he says. I just wish I could translate whatever it is that he's saying into English! I suppose it won't be long before he's actually speaking English!Well, hope all's well with everyone! Only 2 1/2 weeks of school til summer break, and I'm so ready! Then I'll be able to update more often (I actually got teased about my delay in updating by Mr. Brendan). Take care!!!
