Hello, hello to the select, but important, few who read this. :) Well, we are sitting in the Las Vegas airport awaiting our flight back home (otherwise known as the frozen tundra). The past 7 days have been a blur despite the never-ending first day we were here (up at 4:30 am central time and arrived in Vegas at 8:15 am pacific time). For a more detailed rundown of what we did just go to Brendan's blog: www.brendansbikeblog.blogspot.com The only few differences are that I didn't go biking AT ALL, went running once, hiking/trail speed walking once and actually had a relatively relaxing vacation. The hiking was awesome! I went with a great friend Jen (great name she's got!) and we were able to hike through some canyons that used to be under the ocean and then found some natural hot springs. Very fun! Here's a pic of Jen (the other one) climbin up the ladder to get to the springs.
We found it so amazing how the springs became this waterfall you can see behind the ladder and then within 30-40 feet had been absorbed back into the earth and there was no trace of their existance! CRAZY!
On Tuesday night we went out with some of my girlies from school to Studio 54... I will not judge it until I'm there on a weekend night because nothing to write home about regarding the crowd we experienced except they made us feel like models...which isn't such a bad feeling, though, except for sore feet. Damn sexy shoes hurt! Still, we were THE fine ladies there despite the fact that we had to pay for all of our own drinks. I guess that's what happens when 21ish year olds try to dance with you and you tell them you're married! HA!
On our last full day, us girls (minus Jen M. ... the other one) spent the day lounging by the pool. Even though we didn't actually go swimming, Brendan made sure to squirt me with his water bottle when he got back from riding... revenge will be sweet.
Ok, one last pic... Brendan and I before our fancy-pants dinner. Peace and love... ~j
