Ok, so I won't go into detail, but our daycare provider basically backed out on us despite our signed contract and security deposit...and I go back to school the last week of Aug! AHHH! If you happen to know anyone who does daycare in Shakopee and may have an infant opening could you give me their info??? Obviously I want someone you would or do entrust your own kids with. Thanks!!!

Oh no, that sucks!!! I'm still in the process of finding one, and I start on the 15th!!! My mom is gonna be here for the first two weeks, but still... yikes. I wish I had family close... good luck!!!!
Any chance you can ask the daycare to refer you to someone else? If they don't know of another daycare with an opening, they should be able to get you in touch with someone who does.
When we were looking for a daycare, we learned that most cities have a hub person who sort of keeps track of all the local daycares - including any openings they may have for different age levels.
You could also check out mnchildcare.org. Their online search isn't very user friendly, but they're pretty helpful over the phone.
